…And the land is ours

I got the call just after 2 yesterday to let me know to break open the champagne, that the land is officially ours!  Now to get the soil test and survey done, then finalise everything….

Settlement Thursday 8 October

We finally received advice last week that our settlement is scheduled for Thursday next week.  Can’t believe that they will finally be taking the fencing and gates down and we will actually be able to access our site.  The engineers are booked in for the Monday after to get the soil test and survey done, so hopefully that goes smoothly and the report is received a bit quicker than the 4-6 weeks estimated by the builder (the report will detail all of the engineering required, plus the type of slab) as we can’t move forward without it! Then we will be able to finalise all of our choices, and the contract, before we get site start.  I would love to have our slab down by the Christmas break but this will depend on several factors so we will just have to keep our fingers crossed and wait and see!
