With the promised settlement date looming in the next month (or so…) we called into the estate today to see how it was going, and were very happy to find that we had our crossover (the start of our driveway that is provided by the developer). Managed to get in for a few sneaky pics – the first one doesn’t show the true width of our block, that is shown in the second one – the two skinny pegs with pink flags on them show our boundaries. I did notice that we have an NBN pit at the front of our block – hadn’t known that that was going to be there, but not much we can do about it, and it will be in the grassed area anyway.
It is starting to feel real now! Hoping we can another update from the developer this week.

We had our colour selection with Ashford Homes last week in which we made all of the changes we wanted, and finalised all of our selections for the house – and I mean all, down to the kitchen sink….

The appointment went really well; our consultant is very knowledgeable and organised, which always helps! The builder agreed to cover quite a few of the changes we wanted (such as wider pantry shelves, and our preferred front bedroom window style) and we were pleasantly surprised about some of the upgrade costs. Plus, as we have removed render from the front of the house, we received a credit, which goes a long way towards the extra Qstone that we want in the kitchen (waterfall ends and extra benchtop).

There are still a few items to tick off, as we are waiting on quotes and confirmation of details, but this shouldn’t take too long or be too hard.

We should receive our updated plans soon. Finally feels like it is actually going to happen!.
